The brick makers house is one that has been done a few times in the past, but with the imminent demolition of the adjacent Cranleigh brickworks, the days of this house are probably numbered.

Couldn't really dig up any history on the cottage, however its proximity to the former brickworks would sugguest that it was used by the workers at the site.
