Mountfield house is a grade II manor house located in the small Devon village of Musbury. Built in 1865, and once owned by WF Lethbridge, a Flag Lieutenant on HMS Foudroyant under Admiral Nelson. After Lethbridge retired from the navy he bought the property and restored it for him and his wife. Interestingly the village church St Michaels features a commemoration to Lethbridge on the far east window.
